Yacht Racing Unlimited Ltd (YRU) was established in 2008 to provide top quality sailing instruction and Yacht Racing Coaching from beginner level to experienced International competitor.
Coaching and instruction is the focus of YRU and the Coach/Company Director John Weston is amply qualified in this role as a Yachting New Zealand (YNZ) Performance Coach - see qualification here. John has successfully worked offshore as a National Team Coach and Head Coach on several occasions and has trained sailors to Gold Medals at Asian and South East Asian Games and at World Championship Regattas. John’s coaching resume also includes a period as Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS) Youth Coach.
YRU instructs various disciplines in Dinghies and Keelboats and operates International One-Design Keelboats on which Keelboat instruction and racing takes place from Gulf Harbour Yacht Club in Whangaparaoa, Auckland, New Zealand.
